Full Ingredients

Aqua/Water, L-Ascorbic Acid, Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Sodium Hydroxide,  Resveratrol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ferulic Acid, Dimethicone, Xanthan Gum

How to Use

Apply to clean dry skin. Use 1 pump for face (avoiding eyelids) & neck, and a 2nd pump for chest & backs of hands (where tolerated). Use ONCE a day, morning or night as a first step in your routine. Follow with Active8 Peptide & Antioxidant Loaded Lotion. Sunscreen recommended.

*May cause mild tingling. Use less frequently to start until skin becomes acclimated. If irritation occurs, discontinue use (see below for instructions on how to acclimate skin).

Our All-In serum is a one-and-done lower pH acid serum that can replace up to 3 products in your skincare routine:
•  Vitamin c serum
•  AHA (lactic acid or glycolic acid) serum
•  Resveratrol serum

We recommend using All-In serum once a day in the morning on clean dry skin and then following with Active8 lotion or another moisturizer. Apply 1-2 pumps of All-In serum to face (avoiding eyelids), neck, chest & backs of hands if tolerated in all those areas. Then  apply 1-2 pumps of Active8 Lotion to all the same areas and follow with sunscreen for a quick & easy morning routine.

All-In can be used at night instead of morning by following the same routine outlined above but leaving off sunscreen. We don't recommend using All-In serum at night if you're using a retinoid as the combo could cause irritation. If you're using a retinoid or other "treatment" step at night then we recommend putting on 1-2 pumps of Active8 lotion after that treatment product.

**All-In serum should be used ONCE a day.

Active8 Lotion can be used twice a day.

Our products layer beautifully so there's no need to wait in between products but you can if you want to.

If you're a beginner with acid based serums like our All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum we recommend letting your face dry completely before applying the product.

If you've used acid based skincare previously and your skin is acclimated then you can apply it to towel dried skin while it's still slightly damp (but not wet).

*If you experience tingling, stinging, redness or burning after applying All-In serum we recommend using less and/or using it less often to give skin time to acclimate. Start by applying All-In once a week for the first month. If you don't have any reaction, increase by one day a month until you get up to using it 5-7 days a week. Monitor your skin for signs of irritation and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Angie's Tip: Use All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum as the first step in your morning routine if you use a retinoid at night to avoid irritation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should use All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum

All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Acid serum is beneficial for all ages, all skin types, and all skin tones.

Anyone who wants to simplify their skincare routine without having to give up ingredients should use All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum with its 6 active ingredients.

Vitamin C is especially useful for those with sun damaged skin or vitamin C deficient skin.

Neither vitamin C nor lactic acid are sensitizing on their own but the lower pH of this product can cause sensitivity. We recommend doing a patch test before use.

Is All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum safe for sensitive skin?

All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Acid serum is a lower pH acid-based serum with a high concentration of 2 acids that might not be appropriate for all skin types.

This product is not recommended for those with rosacea, melasma or other skin issues. We recommend checking with your dermatologist before starting any new skincare.

Those with sensitive skin may be able to use All-In serum with caution. We recommend doing a patch test and waiting 24 hours to see how your skin reacts. If you experience redness, tingling, stinging, or burning that lasts longer than a few minutes or is uncomfortable, please discontinue use.

If you have a mild reaction, you can try to acclimate your skin to using All-In serum by using it once a week to start and building up frequency slowly over time.

We are working on a sensitive skin version of this product.

Where does All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum fit into my skincare routine?

All-In Vitamin C + Lactic serum combines the active ingredients of 3 separate serums and can replace multiple products to streamline your skincare routine.

We recommend using All-In serum once a day, either in the morning OR in the evening as the first step after washing your face. If you use a retinoid at night, we recommend using All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Acid Serum in the morning to avoid any irritation from using 3 acids too close together. Our Active8 lotion layers beautifully over All-In serum and can be used morning or night.

If you use All-In serum in the morning always follow with sunscreen as the last step of your morning routine.

Are there ingredients/products that shouldn't be used with All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum?

No, the ingredients in All-In serum can be combined/layered with any other skincare ingredients.

All-In serum contains Vitamin C and you may have heard that Vitamin C shouldn't be combined with peptides or niacinamide but this is a myth. The theory is that acids can break the bonds that hold peptides together making them ineffective but the conditions needed to break the bonds (high heat and strong acid) just don't exist on our skin or in our skincare products. Niacinamide is a stable antioxidant that has been shown to work synergistically with Vitamin C so they can be safely used together.

There is still an ongoing debate over whether copper peptides (the blue ones with free copper) can be safely used with vitamin c but we believe they can be used together as long as the vitamin c isn't at a pH below 2.5 Our vitamin C serum is formulated at pH 3.4 so it can be used with copper peptides. If you want to be extra cautious you can use them at opposite times of day.

Is All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum supposed to be milky white?

Yes, our All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Acid serum is milky and white-ish when first manufactured. Most vitamin C serums are watery and clear (or turning a shade of yellow as they oxidize) but because we add Lactic Acid to our Vitamin C serum, it has a thicker consistency and a translucent white color.

The thicker texture makes our serum easier to dispense and spread.

Why is my All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum turning yellow/brown?

All-In Viitamin C + Lactic serum contains ascorbic acid (the most active form of Vitamin C) which can oxidize over time and with exposure to light and air. We do everything we can to keep the ascorbic acid stable for as long as possible by formulating it at a lower pH and packaging it in an opaque airless pump bottle.

Your All-In serum should be shelf stable for up to 4 months. If you're not going to use your serum right away it can be stored in the freezer and defrosted when ready to use. Your serum is still usable and 80-90% effective if it turns light to medium yellow. If it turns dark yellow, orange or brown it's time to discard and get a fresh bottle.

You might also see some oxidizing around the opening of the pump nozzle. This is normal oxidization when ascorbic acid is exposed to air. Simply wipe it away with a damp tissue or cloth.

Does All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Serum have a scent/fragrance?

All Angie's Actives products are fragrance-free meaning we don't add masking fragrances or fragrant botanicals that can irritate skin. That said, each product may have a scent due to the natural smell of the raw ingredients. If there is a scent, it will usually dissipate quickly after application.

The ascorbic acid and ferulic acid in our All-In serum have distinctive scents that are sometimes describe as "hotdog water" or a "burnt" smell. This is normal and can't be removed from the serum, but because of the addition of Lactic Acid and Resveratrol our serum has less of that signature scent than most Vitamin C serums on the market.

How Can I Acclimate My Skin To Using All-In Serum?

If you experience tingling that doesn't dissipate quickly or is uncomfortable, you may need to give your skin time to adjust to using a lower pH acid serum.

To do this, start by using half the normal amount of serum and only applying once or twice a week for the first month.

After a month, assess your skin to see if you're ready to increase by adding in another day per week. Continue on for another month or until skin is acclimated.

Gradually work up to using All-In every day by adding in 1 day per month until skin is completely acclimated.

Does All-In Serum Need To Be Refrigerated?

Our All-In serum is made with ascorbic acid, the most proven and bioavailable form of vitamin c but it does oxidize over time. Storing All-In in the refrigerator between uses can slow down the oxidation process and help it to stay fresher longer.

Have used BOTH products religiously since 2nd restock. (61yrs, take a battalion of meds/fragile skin plus 4 years of brutal Cape Cod weather). Truthfully, feared they’d be too diluted or too harsh. Neither! Both far surpassing expectations. For my sensitive neck, I listened to Angie’s recommendation videos.. and highly recommend them. Communication with the source: beyond thrilled we can reach them via email, inquire/discuss/receive feedback.. (not an AI chat-bot!), Thank you Angie (& Dad), for caring about us.. the wise and mature 🦋

Hi, I think although I haven't read all of the reviews, I might be the only one that has crystallized little pieces in my vitamin C and after reading just some reviews I notice that it should have been white or clear, but mine was always yellow from the start. I guess I should keep it in the fridge.I really trust in the source and plan to use these products as long as they are available, but if you can explain the crystallization I would really appreciate it because it's kind of annoying if I get more than one or two pieces. Thanks so much.

Hi, and thanks for your review! The crystallization is caused by extra serum left in the pump opening that dries out with exposure to air. Over time it can build up and clog the opening, or the crystals pump out with the serum. You can minimize this by cleaning the opening after every use with a soft cloth dampened with warm water, or you can gently insert a toothpick or paperclip into the opening to keep it clear. If you didn't open the serum for weeks after receiving it, it could have yellowed a bit in that time, but in our stability testing it generally takes 8 weeks for the serum to start yellowing at room temperature. We recommend storing our All-In serum in the freezer if you're not going to use it right away and storing it in the refrigerator to keep it fresher longer during use. Thanks so much for your support and we hope this information is helpful!

This is such a great idea to have everything packaged together. It goes on beautifully and doesn’t pill. No reactions at all. Thank you for the FAQ about the hot dog smell. I was hoping there was a way to get around that. I have thrown away so many Vit C serums because I could not stand the smell. This one is the same. I can smell it on my skin all day and even the next day despite having cleansed and showered. It’s like it sinks in to my pores and I can’t get it out. I know that means it’s working but not sure I can get past it. I want to love this serum, but the smell is almost too much.

I wish they would make this product without the Lactic Acid. I love all ingredients and was hoping that I would tolerate the lactic acid, but I dont. I tried to use it on dry skin and after the other serum but it still feels super dry and I start pilling 3 hours later and all my make up is gone. I hate to go back to get all ingredients separately.
