Are Your Products Fragrance Free?

Yes, Our products are fragrance free meaning we don’t add any natural or artificial perfumes or fragrance ingredients. Our products may still have the smell of the natural scents of the ingredients.

Yes, All of our products are vegan.

Are Your Products Safe For Sensive Skin? Rosacea? Melasma?

Active8 Peptide + Antioxidant Loaded Lotion:

Active8 lotion is a non-sensitizing moisturizer that's considered safe for sensitive skin.

Active8 contains ceramides, CoQ10, glycerin, green tea, hyaluronic acid and shea butter which sooth and protect skin while contributing to a healthy skin barrier. 

Because Active8 contains 5% niacinamide, we recommend once daily use for those with niacinamide sensitivity but most will be able to use Active8 lotion twice a day.

Everyone's skin is different and some people can be more sensitive than others. We recommend doing a patch test if in doubt.

All-In  Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum:

All-In serum is a lower pH acid-based serum with a high concentration of 2 acids that might not be appropriate for all skin types.

This product is not recommended for those with rosacea, melasma or other skin issues. We recommend checking with your dermatologist before starting any new skincare.

Those with sensitive skin may be able to use All-In serum with caution. We recommend doing a patch test and waiting 24 hours to see how your skin reacts. If you experience redness, tingling, stinging, or burning that lasts longer than a few minutes or is uncomfortable, please discontinue use.

If you have a mild reaction, you can try to acclimate your skin to using All-In serum by using it once a week to start and building up frequency slowly over time.

Are Your Products Non-Comedogenic?

Both of our products contain ingredients that are generally considered non-comedogenic to not cause or worsen acne.

That said, everyone's skin is different and different ingredients/formulations will have different effects on various people.

Are Your Products Safe for Pregnancy/Nursing?

Yes, the ingredients in our products are generally considered safe for pregnancy & nursing.

Are Your Products Made In the US?

Our products are compounded and filled in East Haven, Connecticut from domestic and foreign components.

What Is The Shelf-Life of Your Products?

Active8 Lotion: Good for up to 1 year when stored at room temperature.

All-In Serum: Best used within 3–4 months after opening, though refrigeration while in use or freezing before starting use can help extend its shelf life.

Product Usage

How Do I Use The Powerhouse Bundle In My Skincare Routine?

Our Powerhouse Bundle Contains 2 Separate Products That Can Be Used Together or Separately. (If you haven't used both products before it's best to try them separately or do separate patch tests prior to starting)

To Use All-In Serum:

Our All-In serum is a one-and-done lower pH acid serum that can replace up to 3 products in your skincare routine:
•  Vitamin c serum
•  AHA (lactic acid or glycolic acid) serum
•  Resveratrol serum

Consider doing a patch test prior to using All-In if you haven't used Vitamin C, Lactic Acid, and Resveratrol together previously

We recommend using All-In serum once a day in the morning on clean dry skin and then following with Active8 lotion or another moisturizer. 

Apply All-In to clean dry skin. Use 1 pump for face (avoiding eyelids) & neck, and a 2nd pump for chest & backs of hands (where tolerated). Use ONCE a day, morning or night as a first step in your routine. Follow with Active8 Peptide & Antioxidant Loaded Lotion. Sunscreen recommended.

*May cause mild tingling. Use less frequently to start until skin becomes acclimated. If irritation occurs, discontinue use (see below for instructions on how to acclimate skin).

All-In can be used at night instead of morning by following the same routine outlined above but leaving off sunscreen. All-In serum should not be used at the same time as retinoids, other AHA products, or BHAs as the combo may cause irritation. 

**All-In serum should be used ONCE a day.

If you're a beginner with acid based serums like our All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum we recommend letting your face dry completely before applying the product.

If you've used acid based skincare previously and your skin is acclimated then you can apply it to towel dried skin while it's still slightly damp (but not wet).

*If you experience tingling, stinging, redness or burning after applying All-In serum we recommend using less and/or using it less often to give skin time to acclimate. Start by applying All-In once a week for the first month. If you don't have any reaction, increase by one day a month until you get up to using it 5-7 days a week. Monitor your skin for signs of irritation and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Angie's Tip: Use All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum as the first step in your morning routine if you use a retinoid at night to avoid irritation. 

Active8 Lotion:

Our Active8 lotion is a a one-and-done moisturizer that can replace up to 6 products in your skincare routine:
•  Peptide serum or lotion
•  Niacinamide lotion
•  Ceramide lotion
•  Green tea toner
•  Hyaluronic acid serum
•  CoQ10 serum

Apply 1-2 pumps to face & neck after cleansing. Can be used morning and/or night. Can be used twice a day. Layers beautifully over All-In serum.

Active8 Lotion doesn't contain retinol or retinoids so you can continue using your retinoid at night or any other prescription care or ingredients that aren't in our 2 products.

Active8 Lotion can be used once or twice a day.

Our products layer beautifully so there's no need to wait in between products but you can if you want to.

How Do I Start Using All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum?

Packaging

How Many Pumps Are In A Bottle? How Long Will A Bottle Last?

How long each bottle lasts will depend on usage ie: how often you apply it and how many pumps you use per application.

Each 1 oz. bottle contains about 135 pumps. So using 1 pump of one product once a day would last for 135 days which is about 4.5 months.

Using 2 pumps once a day or 1 pump twice a day would last about 2.25 months.

The Pump Isn't Working/No Product Is Coming Out

There are usually 2 reasons this happens and both can be fixed fairly easily:

  1. On occasion the serum loses contact with the airless pump mechanism.
    To fix this, turn the bottle upside-down while pushing on the pump a few times until the serum/lotion comes out, then you can use it right side up.
  2. Sometimes the nozzle opening gets clogged with dried serum or lotion.
    To fix this, insert a pin or toothpick into the nozzle opening to clear the clog. Then gently wipe the opening with a soft cloth or tissue dampened with warm water.

Are Your Bottles Recyclable?

While our bottles are technincally recyclable, they fall under #7 specialty recycling status which is not accepted at most recycling facilities so we don't recommend putting them with your recyclables. It's best to put them in the trash so they don't compromise the recycling stream.

When Will My Order Ship?

Orders will usually be processed the same or the following business day. We fulfill and ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

How Can I Track My Order?

Once shipped, you'll receive an email from us providing your tracking information.

Do You Ship Internationally?

We don't currently ship internationally. 

Our goal is to ship internationally eventually, and we hope to be able to do it in the future.

What Do I Do If My Package Is Lost or Damaged?

Please email us at customerservice@angiesactives.com with your order number and photo of the damaged products or packaging received so we may assist you further.

If you suspect your order to be lost, please contact us within 30 days from the last tracking update.

Will Hot Conditions During Transit Ruin The Products?

Exposure to hot conditions during transit will not adversely affect our products.

We've done stability testing on both products at 104 and 122 degrees for 12-16 weeks.

Active8 lotion is completely stable even when exposed to high heat for 12 weeks so it will not be affected by heat in transit.

All-In serum contains Vitamin C which degrades in high heat over time. In our testing it took 8 weeks of continual exposure to detect oxidation so a few hours won't have a noticeable affect. To counteract any potential oxidation from heat exposure, we recommend storing All-In serum in the refrigerator during use.
